Joel's 11th Birthday
Joel had a few friends over last night for a sleep over to celebrate his 11th birthday. They had a fun night. His birthday is actually tomorrow and I spent a while today making him some more cupcakes to take to Sunday School, but he has gone to bed sick. We have had a virus going around the family. It is pretty nasty but short lived. Poor Joel may end up spending his birthday in bed.

Paoli Peaks

The girls school went skiing as a group to Paoli Peaks, which is only 1 hours drive from Louisville. We went as a family for my birthday as I love to ski. We had a great day. It was not as good as New Zealand as it was really just a hill where they make their own snow. You can see the snow machines in the picture above. There were 4 or 5 different ski runs. The deal was great though. They do a package where you get a lift pass, ski lesson, ski equipment hire and lunch.

More Winter Photos
Mum thinks I should be hanging out my washing no matter what the season. Sorry Mum but I'm not touching the clothes line when it looks like this!
A photo of Anna-Marie's.
On Friday the sun finally came out and the ice started to melt. All the trees which were layered with ice looked really amazing in the sun.

Rachel and Matthew with Drew and Callie. Their family stayed with us for a couple of nights while the power was out at their place. It was a lot of fun (for us), having extra people in the house. This storm ended up being a lot like Hurricane Ike. Over 200,000 homes were without power. Many still do not have power and schools are still closed tomorrow. This makes two State Emergencies in 6 months!
